One of the best events in Waterloo IL this summer is the Waterloo Municipal Band Series of Concerts. These concerts take place on the Monroe County Courthouse lawn on Tuesday nights. All concerts start at 8:00PM. The conductors are allowed to alter the printed programs as they feel is appropriate.The July 31 concert features American Style music with classics such as Chorale and Shaker Dance, King Cotton March, and Black and White Rag. Stop in on August 7 for Community Music Night with Summertime, Sinatra in Concert, Beauty and the Beast, Lassus Trombone, and more.
You don’t want to miss the August 14 Broadway Revisited concert with Scott Ruppel as guest conductor featuring They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Be Our Guest, Carousel, and Cole Porter on Broadway. Enjoy a Memories theme on August 21 featuring MacArthur Park, On the Square, and If My Friends Could See Me Now. Finally, join the band on August 28 for March Mania.
