Help From Freddie Mac for Struggling Homeowners

Times are plenty tough for lots of homeowners out there who are trying to pay their mortgages. This is even more true if you’re having difficulties with income and employment, but thankfully there are some programs out there to give you relief. In particular, Freddie Mac announced this past week that they’re offering aid to their customers in serious need.

If you’re currently unemployed, Freddie Mac is now offering as many as 12 months of forbearance. Any and all mortgage payers connected with Freddie Mac are eligible for six month of forbearance, and can be eligible for another six months if they are given prior approval by proper authorities. This is really great news for anyone in East St. Louis, Columbia, and other outlying areas where homeowners are having difficulties paying their mortgages.

Having at least half a year, if not an entire 12 months, can be of big help and give homeowners a chance to get back on their feet and find better employment and save their homes. If you’re a struggling homeowner, contact your lender to find out more about this new program and if you can get prior approval.

As well, if your home is distressed and you need to make a short sale, Tammy Mitchell Hines can help. Just call their offices today at 877-418-6343 to find out more.
